What Happened to the Equal Rights Amendment

Posted: March 11, 2010 in Politics

I think the Equal Rights Amendment to the U. S. Constitution dies when women (who really have more political power than they want you to believe) lose interest because they are reminded that they might be held accountable for the results. Do you remember the saying “be careful what you wish for”? The challenge to remember the E. R. A. was mounted in a letter to the editor in the March 8, 1010 edition of The Nation excoriating those who would try to get a constitutional amendment passed to overcome the Supreme’s[1] decision that corporations have unlimited power to donate to campaigns.
