Why Are There No Burning Bibles?

In response to burning the Koran.

Much ballyhoo is being broadcast about a certain Christian Reverend burning a copy of the Koran. To offer some perspective let me cite a movie “Fail Safe”. In it the President sent a bomber to bomb a major American city to counter the accidental unleashing of an atomic bomb on a Russian city. It was an effort to show the Russian’s that we were truly sorry for the accident and were taking measures to preclude another world war.

Similarly, it would seem reasonable for a Christian minister to burn a bible with enough publicity for Muslims around the world to learn of our resolve to condemn the act that so infuriates them.
